Pranav Persad-Maharaj is an extremely driven, creative arts practitioner and Lower Six student, whose academic excellence is matched by his passion for leadership, theatre, and community involvement. He currently attends Naparima College, San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago, where he studies Management of Business (Unit 1), Accounting (Unit 2), Economics (Unit 1), Performing Arts (Unit 1) and Communication Studies.

At Naparima College, Pranav’s leadership skills are reflected in the positions that he holds, as 1st Vice President of the Naparima College Drama Club (NCDC) since 2024, Secretary of the Naparima College UNESCO Club since 2025, and an executive member of the Naparima College Indian Cultural Club (NCICC) since 2024. These positions have allowed him to advocate for cultural awareness and community development, areas in which he is deeply passionate.

As a creative professional, Pranav is a skilled dancer, actor, director, and playwright, who has participated in a plethora of productions, earning numerous accolades at both the Secondary Schools’ Drama Festival (SSDF) and overseas. Notably, in July of 2025, he made his mark on the international stage at the Toronto Fringe Festival with the award-winning, original production of “Alpha”, a thought-provoking exploration of identity, culture, and youth perspectives, in which he served as a performer and part-playwright.

Academically, Pranav has achieved Ten Grade Ones at the CSEC level, ranking third regionally in ‘Theatre Arts’ and earning the Highest Ranking in ‘Caribbean History’ at Naparima College.

Outside of school, Pranav has a strong passion for graphic design, marketing, swimming, baking, and volunteering, which has helped him to develop his creativity, discipline, confidence, and teamwork skills. As he continues to think outside the box and redefine existing narratives, Pranav looks forward to making a lasting difference in all of his endeavours.
