Devaj Ramoutar is a dedicated student at Naparima College who evinces a strong balance of academic rigor and creative excellence. After completing his CSEC certification, he now pursues CAPE in Computer Science, Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and Performing Arts, alongside his compulsory subjects.

Though mathematics and theatre may appear contradictory at first glance, Devaj sees them as complementary disciplines. Both require structure, creativity, and refined problem-solving, whether deriving complex solutions, or interpreting a role on stage. This dual commitment to logic and creativity defines his academic identity.

As a theatre practitioner, he is a regular performer at the annual Secondary Schools’ Drama Festival (SSDF), having won ‘Outstanding Actor’ in both 2023 and 2025, and ‘Most Original Script’ in 2024 and 2025. Notably, Devaj performed with the Naparima College Drama Club (NCDC) at the 2025 Toronto Fringe Festival, staging the original play ‘ALPHA’ and winning the Fringe's ‘Volunteers’ Choice Award’.

He remains actively involved in school life, serving as 2nd vice president of the Naparima College Drama Club (NCDC), 1st vice president of the Naparima College UNESCO Club Castile, and an Executive member of the Naparima College Indian Cultural Club (NCICC). His interests extend to acting, directing, playwriting, community service, baking, journaling, tutoring, and coding. These are pursuits that reflect both discipline and imagination.

Through leadership and scholarship alike, Devaj continues to cultivate a holistic and integrated education.
