Aims of the ACS
- Strengthen the economic position of member states in the international market.
- Foster joint representation to increase bargaining and negotiating power.
- Advocate for the lifting of the trade embargo on Cuba and oppose the shipment of nuclear materials through the Panama Canal.
Key Achievements
- Established the Sustainable Tourism Zone of the Caribbean, promoting environmentally responsible tourism.
- Enhanced regional cooperation in disaster preparedness and response.
- Improved transport links by air and sea to facilitate trade and tourism.
- Promoted scientific and technological cooperation among members.
- Encouraged the teaching and learning of the official languages of the ACS (English, Spanish, French, and Dutch).
