Aims of the ACS

  • Strengthen the economic position of member states in the international market.
  • Foster joint representation to increase bargaining and negotiating power.
  • Advocate for the lifting of the trade embargo on Cuba and oppose the shipment of nuclear materials through the Panama Canal.

Key Achievements

  • Established the Sustainable Tourism Zone of the Caribbean, promoting environmentally responsible tourism.
  • Enhanced regional cooperation in disaster preparedness and response.
  • Improved transport links by air and sea to facilitate trade and tourism.
  • Promoted scientific and technological cooperation among members.
  • Encouraged the teaching and learning of the official languages of the ACS (English, Spanish, French, and Dutch).
