-To give a command, or instruction, the imperative form is used.
-The imperative is a mood.
-The imperative is formed by taking the ‘tu’ , ‘nous’ and
‘vous’ forms of the verb.
-The ‘s’ in the ‘tu’ form of -ER verbs is dropped.
Examples:
Regarde le film! Regardons le film! Regardez le film
Finis le livre! Finissons le livre! Finissez le livre!
Réponds maintenant! Répondons maintenant! Répondez maintenant!
-Object pronouns are used in the imperative
Regardez-le! Look at him!
Répondez-lui maintenant! Answer him/her now!
